Why is Organic Clothing Better?
First of all, everyone loves a 100% cotton t-shirt right? But did you know that in order to make a cotton shirt, a third of a pound of fertilizers (chemicals at that) and pesticides are going to be needed. Lots of unnecessary pollution is going to take place and the said t-shirt is probably just a medium sized one. So if you love your cotton t-shirts, there isn’t a need for you to worry. You needn’t stop buying cotton t-shirts altogether. On the contrary, we encourage you to do so – buy organic cotton t-shirts and not the inorganic ones, that is. Many shops and department stores are selling shirts and other kinds of clothes that are made from organically grown cotton. But make sure that what you’re buying is the real deal. Always check the label first and look for certification that the item of clothing you are going to buy is organic and not made with metal dyes or other harmful ingredients.
There are lots of other reasons why eco-friendly fashion is the way to go. First, you help reduce a lot of pollution just by buying organic items instead of their equally fashionable but inorganic counterparts. And that is probably enough reason why organic is the way to go. But if you are not yet sure that buying solely organic clothing will do, then you can still help Mother Nature by simply taking care of all of your clothes – cheap bargains and jaw dropping haute couture pieces alike – to make them last.
